Mumbai Amid the controversy over checking the helicopter of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, the Election Commission has now checked the helicopters of top leaders of BJP and its allied parties. On Tuesday, the helicopter of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari was checked, while on Wednesday the helicopters of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Union Minister Ramdas Athawale were checked. It was also reported that on November 5, the helicopter of BJP leader and former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was checked.
However, on Wednesday, Election Commission officials checked the luggage of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at Kolgaon Helipad in Palghar, Maharashtra. The officials checked Shinde’s bag, briefcase and other belongings. Its videography was also done. Shinde told the officer- There are clothes, there is no urine pot etc. Shinde’s taunt was on Uddhav’s statement. In fact, Uddhav Thackeray’s luggage was also checked twice at the helipad on 11 and 12 November. Then Uddhav expressed his displeasure and said – Check my bag. If you want, you can also check my urine pot, but now I want a video of you guys checking Modi’s bag. Don’t bend your tail there.
Apart from Shinde, the helicopter of Union Minister Ramdas Athawale was also checked in Pune on Wednesday. Earlier on Tuesday, Nitin Gadkari’s bag was checked by the Election Commission in Latur. The helicopters of both Maharashtra’s Deputy CMs Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar have also been checked recently. BJP also released the video of the inspection of Fadnavis’s helicopter on Wednesday itself. His bag was checked in Kolhapur on November 5. Ajit Pawar himself released the video and told that during the campaign, Election Commission officials checked his bag.
