Indore. On the occasion of Vijayadashami in Madhya Pradesh, apart from various programs, Shastra Puja is being done at various places. In this sequence, State Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav worshiped the sword of Goddess Ahilyabai, the representative of Holkar dynasty, in Maheshwar. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav paid tribute to Goddess Ahilyabai Holkar at the historical fort of Maheshwar. On the occasion of Vijayadashami, he performed Shastra Puja in the armory here. On reaching the fort situated on the banks of Narmada, Yashwantrao Holkar III, a descendant of Goddess Ahilyabai, welcomed the Chief Minister in a traditional manner. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav especially worshiped the sword in the armory which is a symbol of the bravery of Goddess Ahilyabai. She herself used to wear this sword. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said on this occasion that Goddess Ahilyabai is synonymous with virtue, glory and charity. Today, on the occasion of Vijayadashami, I feel grateful to have reached his place of work and paid obeisance to him.
Local public representatives of Khargone were present on this occasion. Before this, on reaching Helipad Maheshwar, the Chief Minister was welcomed by regional public representatives, Divisional Commissioner Deepak Singh, Inspector General of Police Anurag, Collector Khargone Karmaveer Sharma and other officials. This time the government has decided to organize a special program on the occasion of Vijayadashami in the state. Under this, Shastra Pujan is being done and all the representatives from the ministers of the state government are taking part in these programs. State Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla performed Shastra Pujan in a program organized at the police line of Rewa. Processions are also being taken out for immersion of the goddess idol at various places in the state on Saturday. Tight security arrangements have been made in the state.
