'Corporate war' on spectrum

Now the question is whether the Indian government will take such a decision by angering the two largest telecom companies of India., what starlink wants? Or will Musk change his stance?, And in turn, America’s displeasure will be bought?

The Indian government is facing a tough test on the issue of how to provide satellite broadband spectrum to companies. The reason is that foreign and domestic companies are standing face to face. At present, the attitude of the Indian government seems to be inclined in favor of Starlink, the company of the world’s richest man, Elon Musk. Amazon company is also supporting this stance. But the two largest companies in the telecom sector in India, Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, have barricaded themselves against this stance. Earlier, Airtel’s stance was that the Government of India should make administrative allocation of satellite spectrum. But this week, in a sudden change of stance, he supported the demand of Reliance Jio that this spectrum should be auctioned. Musk is preparing to launch satellite broadband service in India.

In this field, he is competing with Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s company Reliance Jio and now Sunil Mittal, owner of Bharti Airtel. There is a deep belief about the Narendra Modi government that the wishes of the Ambani group are important in deciding its policies. But so far his stand in this matter is against the wishes of this group. Even Reliance has expressed its intention to go to court in case of administrative allocation.

Despite this, Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said this week that the spectrum will be allocated administratively as per Indian laws and its price will be decided by the telecom regulator. Elon Musk has publicly welcomed his statement. Now the question is whether the Indian government will take the decision that Starlink wants by angering the two largest telecom companies of India? Or will she change her stance and incur Musk’s displeasure? Musk is currently busy campaigning for Donald Trump in the US presidential elections. If Trump wins the elections to be held on November 5, Musk’s influence will increase further. Looking at this, it can be said that the Government of India is facing a difficult challenge.
