Could not organize Chhath but Deepotsav will happen

This miracle is happening in Delhi and Delhi Development Authority i.e. DDA is doing wonders. DDA is going to organize Deepotsav on the banks of Yamuna. Think, what an irony it is that Yamuna is so dirty in Delhi that Chhath puja could not be held in it but Deepotsav will be organised! It is noteworthy that Yamuna river passes through an area of more than 33 kilometers in Delhi and it has become almost dead in the entire area. All the agencies studying the environment have considered Yamuna dead in the part of Delhi. The amount of dirt in its water has become several hundred times more than normal. Everyone has agreed that its water is not fit for bathing or touching. On this basis, Delhi High Court did not give permission for Chhath Puja on the banks of Yamuna.

The High Court said that during Chhath Puja, people have to stand in the river and the water of the river is so dirty that standing in it can spoil their health. Therefore, the High Court asked to celebrate Chhath somewhere among the 1100 artificial ghats built by the Delhi Government. But now the news is that DDA has decided to organize Deepotsav at Sukhdev Ghat of Yamuna. Deepotsav will be organized by DDA on 13th November, in which three and a half lakh lamps will be lit. Just as Yogi Adityanath’s government organizes Deepotsav on the banks of Saryu in Ayodhya, similarly the Narendra Modi government at the Center will organize Deepotsav in Delhi. It is noteworthy that DDA is under the Government of India and the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi is its ex-officio Chairman. Assembly elections are going to be held in Delhi in three months. In this, BJP is trying to consolidate Hindu votes like in Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, an agency of the Central Government has come forward with the idea of celebrating Deepotsav by lighting three and a half lakh lamps on the banks of Yamuna which is no longer fit for worship. Now let’s see what happens in the next three months.
