Demonstration of 20 thousand students in Prayagraj for the second day

Prayagraj. On Tuesday, 20 thousand students demonstrated outside the office of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission i.e. UPPSC. A day earlier on Monday, 10 thousand students were protesting, on whom the police lathicharged. Despite this the students persisted. They demonstrated throughout the night and the next day the number of protesting students doubled. The students have refused to talk to UPPSC. He says that talks will take place only when the notification for conducting the examination in one day and one session is issued.

In fact, the students want that the PSC and RO and ARO examinations should be conducted in one day and in one session instead of two days and the marks should not be standardized. It is noteworthy that after declaring the schedule of the examination, UPPSC made changes and decided to conduct it in two days. When any competitive examination is held over two days, then standardization of marks has to be done according to the difficulty level of the question paper. Students are opposing this.

However, 20 thousand students protested by banging plates in front of UPPCS in Prayagraj. They climbed the barricades. Not only this, the students wrote ‘Loot Service Commission’ in black on the main gate of the Commission and took out the funeral procession of Commission Chairman Sanjay Srinet. The police kept watching all this. Former IPS officer Amitabh Thakur, who was going to join the students’ demonstration, was taken into custody by the police.

Meanwhile, politics has also started on the students’ protest. State Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya came out in support of the students. He said- Officials should listen sensitively to the demands of the students and find a solution quickly. Make sure that students’ precious time is spent in exam preparation and not in agitation. Former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who was the controversial president of the Wrestling Federation, also supported the students and condemned the incident of lathi charge on them.

Opposition leader Akhilesh Yadav said- There is an atmosphere like Yogi versus competitive student. The rise of students lies in the fall of BJP. There is a contradictory relationship between BJP and jobs. Jobs will come only when BJP leaves. He said- Now will the BJP government run bulldozers on the hostels or lodges of the students?
