New Delhi. Following complaints of black marketing and selling of fake tickets for two music concerts, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken major action. The central agency has raided more than a dozen places in five states. It is noteworthy that a two-day concert of Punjabi pop singer Diljit Dosanjh is being held in Delhi and a concert of British rock band Coldplay is going to be held in the coming days.
In this, ED on Saturday raided 13 places in five states on black marketing of tickets. The investigating agency has registered a case of money laundering in this matter. ED has said that searches were conducted at 13 locations in Delhi, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Karnataka and Punjab since Friday night. Earlier, the agency registered a criminal case under several sections of the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
Punjabi pop singer Diljit Dosanjh’s two-day concert began on October 26 at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. This will also happen on 27th October. Whereas, Coldplay’s concert will be held in Navi Mumbai in January 2025. It is alleged that tickets for these programs were sold very fast. There were reports of fake tickets being sold at many places and at many places there were reports of tickets being sold at many times higher prices through black marketing. After cases of irregularities came to light, FIRs were registered in more than 10 states. Reports of tickets being sold at higher prices were also revealed on social media platforms.
