The Election Commission declared that there was no irregularities in the Haryana elections. Everything is absolutely fine and everything has been done as per the rule book. The Election Commission has written a letter to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and has also sent more than 1600 pages of documents, in which every question has been answered. Despite this, the reality is that the Election Commission has not gone into the technical aspects of any matter. The Commission’s focus is on the fact that Congress candidates or their authorized candidates were present at every point and all the work was done in their presence. It is true that mock poll in EVMs, then sealing them after voting and opening the seal at the time of counting, all this work is done in the presence of candidates of all parties. But this alone does not prove that no technical tampering has been done in the machine.
The Election Commission did not go into the technical aspect that how can the battery of an EVM remain 99 percent charged after 10 hours of polling? Here even the best battery gets discharged within a certain time or its charge reduces. EVMs are used for 10 hours or more and then after remaining closed for several days, they are opened for counting. Still, if the batteries of some machines are 60 percent charged and some are 99 percent charged, then the Commission should tell how this happened. Were the batteries of some machines re-charged or replaced? However, such technical aspects will be examined in the coming days as many candidates have raised questions on the machines and have deposited money for the examination. It is noteworthy that the bench of Justice Sanjeev Khanna of the Supreme Court had given a decision, in which it had been said that if the candidate who stood second and third suspects any malfunction of the machine, then he can complain about it within a week of the result and The Election Commission will get the machines checked by a team of engineers. Its expenses have to be paid by the candidates.
