There have been discussions going on for many months regarding the age and health of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the truth of these discussions is also revealed by different incidents. It is being said that Nitish Kumar is not very active now. Party leaders and officials close to him are taking him somewhere in a controlled environment and giving the message to the public that Nitish is active. But the way factionalism has increased within the party and leaders have started giving absurd statements, it seems that Nitish’s command has become loose. The leaders and officers close to him have clearly divided into three factions and the leaders of all three factions are doing their own politics.
One group belongs to the working president of the party, Sanjay Jha. He is angry because he could not become a Union Minister. But in the state, he has formed a faction with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s advisor and former IAS officer Deepak Kumar and it is being said that this faction is the most powerful. Another group is that of former national president and Union Minister Lalan Singh, who is close to Nitish. State government minister Ashok Chaudhary has recently joined this group. The third group is of former IAS officer Manish Verma, who was recently included in the party and was given a big responsibility by making him the General Secretary. He is being seen as Nitish’s successor. Nitish’s close and trusted leader and state government minister Vijay Chaudhary is associated with him.
