Chennai. Tamil film super star Vijay has entered the political arena by forming his own party. He has announced to contest the 2026 assembly elections. In the first conference of his party on Sunday, 27 October, he made a major attack on the ruling DMK. Vijay said that one family is looting the state. It is believed that due to the division and weak position in Anna DMK, Vijay has resorted to anti-DMK politics.
However, the first conference of Vijay’s party Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam or TVK was held in Vikravandi V Salai village in Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu. In this, party chief and actor Dalpati Vijay targeted the Tamil Nadu government. He told his supporters – Politics is not a cinema field, but a battlefield. This will be serious. Only if we decide to approach it with seriousness and a little bit of humor can we survive in this field and deal with the adversaries. We have to be careful on the field.
Targeting DMK, TVK chief Vijay said- In Tamil Nadu, one group is singing the same song. Whoever comes here for politics is giving it a special color and is deceiving the people. In the name of Dravidian model they are doing underground deals and cheating people. There is an anti-people government here. It is noteworthy that Tamil actor Kamal Haasan had also formed a party but he has not achieved much success, whereas Rajinikanth had withdrawn it after taking his first step in politics.
