Kanpur. The excitement of the Test series between India and Bangladesh seems to be getting spoiled due to rain. Team India won the toss and chose to bowl and sent both the opening batsmen of Bangladesh to the pavilion till lunch. Rohit Brigade took full advantage of the favorable conditions for fast bowlers on the first day of the match which started late due to wet outfield. Rohit Sharma’s decision to bowl first paid off when Akash made an early impact. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj kept on applying pressure, while Akash dismissed opener Zakir Hasan in his very first over.
After this he dismissed Zakir Hasan on zero. Till lunch, Bangladesh scored 74 runs for 2 wickets in the first innings. Mominul Haq is unbeaten on 17 and captain Nazmul Hasan Shanto is unbeaten on 28 runs. Bangladesh will need the partnership between Shanto and Mominul to stabilize their innings and save the wicket. The morning session undoubtedly belonged to India, and with the wicket already showing signs of wear and tear, the onus was now on the Bangladesh batsmen to hang on and make a comeback.
