In West Bengal, it seems that Governor CV Anand Bose has decided to go ahead of the entire opposition i.e. BJP, Congress and Left. He wants to become a bigger opposition than the joint opposition in the state. That is why he has said something about Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, which does not make any sense or which cannot be called correct from both political and social point of view. He has said that he will socially boycott Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. What does this mean? Will he not meet the Chief Minister? If the Chief Minister is participating in any political or social program, will he not be a part of that program? Opposition leaders are not saying such things. They are not boycotting the Chief Minister.
And the biggest question is why would they do this? Has Mamata Banerjee committed some heinous crime that shames humanity? The reality is that Mamata has not done anything like this. It is true that a heinous incident of rape and murder of a junior doctor has taken place during her rule. But the main accused of the incident has been arrested and the case is now being investigated by the CBI. The junior doctors of the state are on strike, Mamata Banerjee sat in the secretariat for two days to meet them, but the doctors were adamant on live telecast of the meeting, which the government did not allow. Is this such a crime for which the Governor will socially boycott the Chief Minister? Keep in mind that two different women have accused the Governor of sexual harassment.
