New Delhi. Pagers, walkie talkies and solar systems are being used as explosives to kill Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon. In three days, 37 people have died and about 2500 people have been injured due to explosions in these devices. Lebanon has blamed Israel for these explosions. Hezbollah has warned of taking revenge.
However, after the explosion in the pager and walkie talkie, people in Lebanon are afraid to touch mobile phones. Hezbollah has instructed its fighters to remove the battery of their phones and throw it away. It is worth mentioning that the fighters of the Iran-backed Hezbollah organization use pagers and walkie talkies instead of mobile phones to avoid Israeli hacking. But on Tuesday, the sound of a message coming in thousands of pagers was heard simultaneously and then there was an explosion. It is being said that three grams of RDX was already kept in these pagers. It is also being said that Israel converted the lithium ion battery into an explosive with its modern technology. It hacked the pager and walkie talkie and caused them to explode.
Hezbollah has blamed Israel for these attacks and the United Nations Security Council has called an emergency meeting on this issue on Friday. This incident started on Tuesday, when about three thousand pagers exploded. 12 people died in this. The next day on Wednesday, there were explosions in walkie-talkies, in which 25 people died. The next day there were explosions in solar panels, in which many people were injured.
After these incidents, passengers have been banned from carrying walkie-talkies and pagers at Rafiq Hariri International Airport in Lebanon’s capital Beirut. The airport authority has issued this order. It is also reported that Israel also carried out air strikes in southern Lebanon amid explosions in pagers and walkie-talkies in Lebanon. According to a report, Israeli fighter jets attacked several villages overnight.
