How will Congress control the satraps?

After the review meeting held at Mallikarjun Kharge’s house in Delhi after the Haryana election results, there has been talk in the Congress that the party is looking for ways to control the regional satraps because in many states one after the other, the Congress is losing the regional power. Lost due to conflict between satraps. The conflict between Bhupendra Singh Hooda and Kumari Selja is being held responsible for the defeat in Haryana. Both of them represent the core vote of Congress but there was a fight between the two throughout the election. Similarly, in Rajasthan, Congress lost in the clash between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot, while in Chhattisgarh, the dispute between Bhupesh Baghel and TS Singhdev is being said to be the reason for the defeat. There was no conflict between Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh in Madhya Pradesh, rather there was a lot of harmony, due to which it is being said that Kamal Nath got the opportunity to act arbitrarily and Congress lost.

So, there is a concern in the Congress that what should be done with the aging satraps like Bhupendra Singh Hooda, Kamal Nath, Digvijay Singh, Ashok Gehlot, TS Singhdev and what should be done with the younger and more active leaders? One suggestion is to form a guidance board with the Congress high command like the BJP and send elderly leaders to it. But the party is not able to implement this. She is not able to retire elderly leaders. On the contrary, in every election these elderly leaders stand at the forefront with their claims. These leaders also try to hold some post or the other till their last breath. Secondly, if 82-year-old Kharge remains the Congress President, then how will another leader be included in the leadership board on the basis of age, this is also a big problem.

Rahul Gandhi adopted one method but it has failed miserably. That method was to put all our strength behind KC Venugopal and make him the second Ahmed Patel. But there has not been an iota of success in this. After carrying Venugopal for almost six years, it seems that he has not been able to move beyond petty greed and personal interests. This is the reason why they are not able to control other general secretaries and regional satraps of the party. His status is not such that he can summon any Congress leader like Ahmed Patel and harass him. However, Rahul made a lot of efforts for this. But the result was zero. If Rahul had given similar power to a strong leader, the picture could have been different. Now it is being said that instead of proxy, Rahul Gandhi should keep the command directly in his hands for some time. It is being said that if Rahul himself handles the party organization and internal matters, then perhaps the regional leaders can be controlled. Don’t know for how long and how this will happen but the reality is that the regional satraps of those states give importance to the high command, where the existence of the party is very weak. Where the party is strong, the Congress high command has to listen to the regional satraps. This situation will change when Rahul Gandhi becomes strong not in the virtual world i.e. social media, but in the real world.
