India won its 11th gold in Junior World Championship

The Indian Junior Shooting Team, comprising Mukesh Nelavalli, Rajvardhan Patil and Harsimhar Singh, continued to showcase their talent by winning their 11th gold medal at the ongoing International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Junior World Championships. Ratha’s trio won the team event in the junior men’s 25m rapid-fire pistol (RFP). This was also Mukesh’s fourth gold in the competition, which also includes an individual gold. India continues to top the medal tally with one silver and four bronze, taking its total to 16 medals so far. China is in second place with three gold and one silver.

Mukesh and Rajvardhan also made it to the individual finals in the RFP, however, Rajvardhan finished fourth with 17 hits in the first six series of shots, while Mukesh was already out in fifth place, with 25 targets available till then. Got 10 hits out of 10. In the junior men’s 50m rifle prone, Parikshit Singh Brar was the best Indian finisher with a score of 623.0 in 60 shots. Shivendra Bahadur Singh (618.4) finished 14th while Vedant Nitin Waghmare (613.2) finished 24th.
