Hyderabad. Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy and his sister YS Sharmila’s mother Vijayamma has supported her daughter in the ongoing property dispute. Regarding Congress state president YS Sharmila, her mother has said that injustice has been done to her daughter. Vijayamma has come forward for the first time in the dispute that has been going on for several days regarding properties worth crores of rupees and has written an open letter.
Vijayamma, wife of former Chief Minister late YSR Reddy, has written – For me, all children are equal, but injustice is being done to the daughter. Jagan should remember that it was his sister Sharmila who made him successful in politics. It is noteworthy that there is an ongoing tussle between Jagan and his sister Sharmila over the shares of the companies and 20 acres of land in Yelahanka near Bengaluru. Their value is considered to be in crores.
However, Jagan Mohan Reddy’s party YSR Congress Party responded to Vijayamma’s letter saying that Jagan Reddy never asked for the property back. YS Jagan has shared his property with his sister Sharmila out of goodwill. He is not a director in any of Jagan’s businesses. Jagan treated Sharmila with kindness, as any brother would.
It is noteworthy that the latest dispute between Jagan Mohan Reddy and his sister YS Sharmila is related to illegal transfer of shares of the company. Jagan has filed a complaint for this in the National Company Law Tribunal i.e. NCLT. In the petition filed by Jagan, Sharmila, her mother Vijayamma and two others have been accused of illegally transferring shares of Saraswati Power and Industries Pvt Ltd in July 2024.
