Jaiswal and Siraj got the title of best fielder

New Delhi. Left-handed opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal and fast bowler Mohammed Siraj got the title of best fielders of the series after registering a spectacular win by seven wickets in the Kanpur Test. In a video posted on BCCI.tv, India fielding coach T Dilip said that Jaiswal and Siraj emerged as the best fielders in the series, leaving behind captain Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. He said, “This time we have two winners for the best fielder. In this series, the players set an example of excellent fielding. We took many good catches in both the Test matches, which is really commendable. I feel that two people deserved this medal and they were none other than Jaiswal and Siraj. India’s catching has been excellent in the series and Dilip praised the entire team for giving their best in this aspect of the game.

Although Rohit did not get a medal, Dilip praised his fielding skills. He said that when it comes to catching, I think he is the most reliable. Talking about Rahul, Dilip said that he is a player who has really shown his strong reflexes and when it comes to catching, he is really calm and does a great job. With a resounding win over Bangladesh, India has taken its points percentage to 74.24 in the World Test Championship and consolidated its top position. India will now play a three-match home Test series with New Zealand, starting on October 16 in Bengaluru, followed by matches in Pune and Mumbai.
