Last Thursday, terrorists attacked an army vehicle near Gulmarg, killing two soldiers and two local porters. Another soldier injured in the attack died the next day, taking the death toll to five. On October 20, terrorists attacked the labor camp of a private construction company in Gagangir area of ​​Ganderbal district.

Seven people were killed in the attack, including six foreign laborers and a Kashmiri doctor. The attack took place on innocent, unarmed workers who were engaged in the construction of a tunnel on the Srinagar-Leh National Highway. After the construction of this tunnel, the road between Srinagar and Sonmarg will remain open throughout the year and Sonmarg will be able to become a seasonal tourist destination, which will also benefit the local economy and provide employment to the youth.
