The Karnataka Cabinet has taken a decision, which seems to have intensified the conflict between the Karnataka government and the Governor. A proposal has been passed in the Karnataka Cabinet meeting on Thursday that now the Chief Secretary will not reply to the Governor’s letter, but the Cabinet will reply to the Governor’s letter. It is noteworthy that Governor Thawarchand Gehlot is writing letters on every complaint coming against the government and seeking clarification.
Regarding this, the Cabinet has instructed the Chief Secretary to bring any letter to the notice of the Cabinet and the Chief Secretary has been told through a proposal that she will not reply directly to the Governor. The Cabinet has also decided to bring the Governor’s letter to the notice of the Cabinet. A proposal was passed to bring the Chief Secretary to the notice of the Cabinet as per rules. It has been decided that the Government’s reply to the Governor’s letters will be given through the Cabinet instead of the Secretary.
Along with this, it was also decided in the cabinet meeting that as many answers as necessary should be given. Responding to the media after the cabinet meeting, Law Minister HK Patil informed about the important decisions taken against the Governor in the cabinet meeting. Minister HK Patil said that the Governor is writing the letter out of impatience. They are asking to send the information immediately or today itself.
