Kedarnath Yatra: The pilgrimage to Kedarnath Dham started on foot with the chanting of Baba Kedar

Kedarnath Yatra : Kedarghati has become lively once again after the weather cleared. The pilgrimage to Kedarnath Dham has begun from Sonprayag. The pilgrimage was halted for so many days due to bad weather and heavy rain. Recently, due to bad weather, a landslide occurred on the way between Sonprayag and Gaurikund, due to which the pilgrimage was halted. But now, after the weather cleared, from 10 am onwards, in the presence of NDRF jawans, devotees were sent to Baba’s Dham from Sonprayag. At the same time, light rain continued throughout the night from Rudraprayag to Kedarnath.

2.70 lakh passengers registered in 17 days

2.70 lakh pilgrims have registered for the second phase of Chardham Yatra in 17 days. On an average, 20 thousand pilgrims are registering for the Chardham Yatra of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham in a day. Apart from online, offline registration facility is available in Haridwar and Rishikesh. The Chardham Yatra which was stopped during monsoon is back on track. The number of registrations for the Chardham Yatra in the months of September, October and November has increased. More than 2.70 lakh pilgrims registered from 1st to 17th September.

The registration figure till now is 59.30 lakh

Since the start of Kedarnath Yatra, the registration figure has reached 59.30 lakh. Out of this, more than 33.50 lakh people have visited the Char Dhams. According to the data of the Tourism Department, last year 72 lakh passengers had registered for the Char Dham Yatra. Out of this, 56 lakh passengers had created a new record by visiting. This time also the number of registrations is expected to reach 80 lakh. (Kedarnath Yatra)

The state government hopes that a new record will be created again in the number of pilgrims visiting Chardham Yatra. Despite so many disasters, the courage of the devotees has not wavered. With the same zeal and enthusiasm, pilgrims are moving forward to visit Baba. Apart from this, as soon as the weather improves, helicopter flights have started in the sky of Kedarghati.
