New Delhi. After leaving the post of Chief Minister, Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal was once again seen as an agitator. He held a public meeting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Sunday, 22 September. Kejriwal mentioned the Anna movement of 2011 and the incident of winning the election for the first time. He said – We came to power on the basis of honesty in the first attempt itself.
On his resignation from the post of Chief Minister, Kejriwal said- I am not greedy for power and position. I felt sad when BJP called me corrupt and thief. With this stigma, I cannot even breathe, let alone live, let alone hold the position. The next Delhi election is my litmus test, vote for me only if I seem honest. During this, Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal asked five questions to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
Kejriwal’s most important question was why the 75-year limit is not applicable to Modi. He said – When leaders like LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Kalraj Mishra were retired at 75 years, why is this rule not applicable to Modi? Amit Shah is saying that it will not be applicable to Modi. Bhagwat ji, please answer. It is worth noting that after coming out on bail on 13 September in the Delhi liquor policy case, Kejriwal resigned from the post of Chief Minister on 17 September. On 21 September, Atishi became the new Chief Minister of Delhi.
Recalling his movement, Kejriwal said- I still remember. It was 4th April 2011, when the biggest anti-corruption movement of independent India started from Jantar Mantar here. The government of that time was arrogant. They used to challenge us to win the elections. We were small, we needed money for elections, we needed goons, we needed people. How could we fight, we had nothing. We also contested the elections, the public made us win, formed the Aam Aadmi Party government for the first time. We proved that elections can be contested honestly and can also be won.
