Lalu Yadav insulted Mahadalit community: Chirag Paswan

Patna. The dispute that started between former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi over caste is deepening. Reacting to this issue, Union Food Processing Industries Minister and LJP (Ram Vilas) National President Chirag Paswan said that it is not appropriate for me to say anything in the dispute between Jitan Ram Manjhi and Lalu Prasad Yadav. Both are much older than me in status and experience. In such a situation, being small, it is not right for me to speak in their dispute. He said that being the president of a political party and being a Bihari, I do not believe in caste, creed and religion. Mention of caste feels very bad. This is an insult not only to an individual but to the entire Mahadalit community from which he comes.

Lalu Prasad Yadav should make his statement very thoughtfully. Somewhere a large section of the Mahadalit community is definitely hurt by this. In the case of beating of Bihari student in West Bengal, he said that no incident can be more shameful than this. Through Bihar First Bihari First, I have always expressed my concern about the way Biharis are humiliated, lathicharged and abused in other states. The Constitution of India gives every Indian the right to go to any state and get education and employment. TMC government’s thinking about Biharis is wrong.
