Bhopal. Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath has expressed concern over the increasing drug trade in the state. He said that the state is becoming a den of drugs. People engaged in this business have police protection. It is noteworthy that in the last few days, there have been major revelations about the supply of narcotics in the state. Many arrests have also been made. Despite this, cases of supply of intoxicants are coming to light. Regarding this, former Chief Minister Kamal Nath said, Madhya Pradesh is becoming a major hub of drug trade.
After the drug trade worth crores of rupees was exposed in the state a few days ago, now the news of drug trade near the police station is shocking. The former Chief Minister said, all the claims of de-addiction by the government and the reality of all the campaigns launched against drug mafias show that drug dealers are no longer afraid of selling drugs even near police stations. He said that drug mafias have the protection of the police. Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that the people of Madhya Pradesh are troubled by Jungle Raj. Crime and criminals are prevalent everywhere. Even leaving the house is becoming unsafe. The youth of the state are ruining their present and future by falling prey to drugs.
He asked the government in a questioning tone whether the government will remain a mere mute spectator to the drug trade or will it ever take concrete action? Let it be known that recently a factory manufacturing drugs was exposed in Bhopal and drugs worth hundreds of crores were recovered and many arrests were also made. Apart from this, the police has taken action against those supplying drugs at many places. Despite this, cases of supply of drugs are coming to light in different parts of the state. Apart from this, cough medicine is also being used as an intoxicant in many parts of the state. At the same time, the government and police are claiming to take strict action against drugs in the state.
