Rebel Congress leader Mukhtar Sheikh from Kasba Assembly constituency in Pune has taken a big decision. He has decided to withdraw his nomination as an independent candidate and support MVA’s official candidate Ravindra Dhangekar. With this move of Mukhtar Sheikh, Mahavikas Aghadi has not only got the support of a strong candidate, but he will also get the support of Mukhtar Sheikh’s supporters.

Let us tell you that for the formation of the new government in Maharashtra, voting will be held on 288 assembly seats on November 20, while the counting of votes will take place on November 23. According to the Election Commission of India, more than one lakh polling stations will be set up for the assembly elections in Maharashtra. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar had earlier said that 9.63 crore voters will vote in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, of which 4.97 crore are male voters, while 4.66 crore are female voters. Apart from this, the age of 1.85 crore youth voters is between 20 to 29 years. At the same time, 20.93 lakh voters will take part in voting for the first time. 12.43 lakh voters are above 85 years of age. Along with this, the number of transgender voters is 6,031.
