Ashwin Month 2024 Vrat Tyohar List: Every big fast and festival has special significance in Hinduism. After the end of Shravan month, there is a fair of fasts and festivals. As the festivals are coming, the enthusiasm is increasing. The month of Ashwin has started from 18 September. Which will continue till 17 October next month. Ashwin month is considered to be the seventh month of the Hindu calendar. Ashwin month begins with Pitru Paksha i.e. Shradh and after Shradh, Navratri and Dussehra festival will be celebrated.

25 September 2024 – Jivitputrika Vrat, this fast is observed by mothers for the safety and well-being of their children.
26 September 2023 – Guru Pushya Yoga, Buying gold, silver, vehicle, house etc. on the day of Guru Pushya Yoga is considered very auspicious but this Guru Pushya Yoga is falling during Pitru Paksha.
28 September 2024 – Indira Ekadashi, By observing the fast of Indira Ekadashi, the souls of the ancestors of 7 generations attain salvation.
October 2, 2024 – Ashwin Amavasya, Sarva Pitru Amavasya, Solar Eclipse
On this day, the shraddha rituals are performed on Sarva Pitru Amavasya for those whose death date is not remembered. It is said that this leads to salvation. The second solar eclipse of the year is also taking place on this day.
October 3, 2024 – Sharadiya Navratri, Ghatasthapana
Sharadiya Navratri is considered special among all Navratris. Ghatasthapana is done on the first day and the goddess is worshipped for 9 days.
9 October 2024 – Durga Puja begins, Kalparambha
Durga Puja runs from the sixth day of Navratri to Dussehra. It is said that Durga, Lakshmi ji and Maa Saraswati come to their maternal home during this time.
12 October 2024 – Dussehra, the festival of victory of good over evil Dussehra holds great significance for Hinduism. On this day Shri Ram conquered Lanka and ended Ravana.
17 October 2024 – Sharad Purnima Vrat
Goddess Lakshmi was born on Sharad Purnima. On this day, those who stay awake at night and worship Goddess Lakshmi are blessed by Lakshmi. It is said that on this day, Amrit flows from the rays of the moon, hence it is customary to keep Kheer under the open sky on this night so that it acquires the qualities of Amrit.
