Some other leaders and candidates of Kashmir Valley also kept distance from campaigning.
Earlier, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti had expressed grief over the death of Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah. On Saturday, September 28, she said in her post on the social media platform He said that in this moment of deep sorrow and rebellion, we stand with the people of Palestine and Lebanon. People also took out a rally in Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir in support of Nasrallah.
On this attitude of Mehbooba Mufti, BJP targeted her on Sunday. BJP national spokesperson RP Singh said that Mehbooba Mufti is a supporter of terrorism. It is his old habit to shed tears on the death of terrorists and call them martyrs. Some time back she had cried in the same way on the death of Burhan Wani. National Conference leader Omar Abdullah campaigned on the last day but also said that he has been continuously speaking against the Israeli bombing. He said- Said that I will not say anything about it today. We have always raised our voice against the bombings and use of army by Israel. We have continuously demanded that this should be stopped. This cycle of killing and injuring innocent people must stop, whether in Gaza, Lebanon or anywhere else.
