Milind Deora against Aditya Thackeray

Mumbai Maharashtra Assembly elections are becoming interesting. Eknath Shinde has fielded Rajya Sabha MP Milind Deora on behalf of his Shiv Sena against Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aditya Thackeray in Worli seat, one of the most prestigious seats in the state. Maratha voters play a decisive role in Worli seat. Only then will there be a triangular contest on this seat between Shinde group, Uddhav group and Raj Thackeray’s party. Raj Thackeray’s party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has given ticket to Sandeep Deshpande from Worli seat.

Aditya Thackeray filed nomination from Worli on Thursday on behalf of Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena. A day later, Shinde faction announced the nomination of Milind Deora as its candidate. The last date for filing nominations is October 29. It is believed that Shinde faction has fielded such a big leader from Worli to dominate the Maratha votes. It is noteworthy that Milind Deora is the son of veteran Mumbai leader Murli Deora and has been a two-time MP. He has also been a minister at the Centre.
