Prime Minister Narendra Modi has gone global this time after suffering a setback in the Lok Sabha elections. His foreign tours have increased. Before the Lok Sabha elections, he had reduced his foreign tours. But since the results, he has mostly attended multilateral conferences and also made bilateral visits. Like before, crowds of NRIs have been gathered everywhere and slogans of Modi, Modi have also been raised. NRIs also joined in Kazan, Russia. At the hotel where Modi was staying, NRIs welcomed him with drums and drums. It has been only five months since Narendra Modi became Prime Minister for the third time, but during this period he has made more than half a dozen foreign tours.
Prime Minister Modi had reached the Russian city of Kazan to participate in the conference of BRICS countries. Earlier he had visited Russia in July. Then he had gone to participate in the annual conference of India and Russia. To balance his visit to Russia, he visited Ukraine and met President Volodymyr Zelensky. He said both in Moscow and Kiev that India is not a supporter of war and wants to solve every problem through dialogue. After this the discussion started that the Prime Minister is working to stop the war. Russia also said that it is ready to accept India’s help. Then this time when Modi went to Russia for BRICS, he said there too that India is ready to provide all kinds of help to stop the war. So, India is becoming a peace ambassador and Modi’s supporters are propagating that he will get the Nobel Peace Prize.
However, before the BRICS summit, in October, Prime Minister Modi went to Laos to attend the conference of ASEAN countries. There were also many bilateral talks. Before that in September, the Prime Minister had visited America, where he also addressed a session of the United Nations General Assembly. The Prime Minister also participated in the conference of NRIs. Prime Minister Modi’s foreign tour in his third term started from Italy. The results came on June 4 and Modi took oath five days later and left for Italy on June 12, where he participated in the G-7 summit. In the last five months, the Prime Minister has traveled from Italy to America and from Russia to Brunei. Everywhere, crowd of NRIs have been welcomed and slogans have been raised regarding their being world friends. In comparison to this, the Prime Minister’s domestic tours and programs in India have reduced. He has campaigned less in the elections also.
