My views on agricultural laws are personal: Kangana Ranaut

New Delhi. Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut had commented on the re-implementation of the three repealed agricultural laws. Due to this, she is also facing criticism from her party. Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut clarified on Wednesday that her views were personal and do not represent the party’s stand. Kangana Ranaut on Wednesday reacted to the social media post of BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia, in which he said that the statement given by Kangana on agricultural laws is her personal opinion. She is not authorized to make such a statement on behalf of BJP. Quoting Gaurav Bhatia’s ex post, Kangana Ranaut wrote, Absolutely, my views on agricultural laws are personal. She does not represent the party’s stand on those bills. Thank you. Actually, Gaurav Bhatia had said in the post on ex that Kangana Ranaut’s statement on agricultural bills going viral on social media is not supported by BJP. I want to make it clear that this statement is his personal statement. Kangana Ranaut is not authorised to make such a statement on behalf of the BJP and it does not reflect the BJP’s view on the agricultural bills.

We reject this statement. Kangana had said while talking to the media on Tuesday, “I know this statement may be controversial, but all three agricultural laws should be repealed. Farmers themselves should demand it. She had said that all three laws were beneficial for the farmers, but in view of the protests by farmer groups in some states, the Center repealed them. Farmers are the pillar of strength in the development of the country. I want to appeal to them to demand the withdrawal of the laws for their own good. A day earlier, the Congress had cited Kangana’s remarks on agricultural laws and said that the ruling party is trying to bring back the three laws repealed in 2021, Haryana will give a befitting reply to this. The Congress shared a video of Kangana on X, in which she allegedly said that the agricultural laws should be re-implemented. Let us tell you that only last month Kangana was warned by the BJP for the comment in which she said that the agitation against agricultural laws could lead to a “Bangladesh-like situation” in India. His remarks came days after Bangladesh leader Sheikh Hasina was forced to resign as prime minister and flee to India amid student-led protests against her.
