Devli Uniara. Congress rebel and independent candidate Naresh Meena allegedly slapped a Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) during the by-election on Rajasthan’s Deoli Uniara assembly seat on Wednesday. Whose video is going viral on social media. In the viral video, policemen are seen trying to stop Meena. According to media reports, Meena entered the polling booth and attacked SDM Amit Chaudhary. This incident was captured on camera, in which Congress rebel Naresh Meena was seen assaulting SDM Amit Chaudhary. During voting, Naresh Meena tried to forcibly enter the polling booth in Samrauta area.
When the government and police officials tried to stop them, a scuffle broke out. Meena alleged that the SDM got three voters to cast their votes secretly. His election symbol was not clear on the EVM, causing problems to his voters. I would request people to come out and answer such people through their votes. Meanwhile, Tonk Collector Soumya Jha said that the SDM was appointed Area Magistrate for election duty. The SDM will submit a report to us, based on which we will take further action or initiate an investigation. Police will register FIR in this matter.
The Rajasthan Congress unit has suspended Meena for contesting as an independent candidate against the party’s official candidate from Deoli Uniara assembly seat. After not getting ticket from Congress, Meena is contesting the elections. Voting has started this morning for seven assembly seats including Deoli-Uniara in Rajasthan amid tight security. More than 9,000 security personnel have been deployed at 1,914 polling stations. A total of 69 candidates are in the fray in this very important election and the election results will come on November 23. Currently, BJP has 114 seats in the 200-member Rajasthan Assembly, while Congress has 65 seats.
