Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is now really tired and the effect of his ill health is showing on his work as well as his politics. This is the first time that Nitish Kumar has started following the path of politics of religion on the lines of BJP and like the BJP leaders, he has also started showing devotion towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Earlier, Nitish used to keep a distance from the politics of BJP even when he was with it and when he was with RJD, he kept a distance from its politics. That is, he always followed his own path. He used to do politics according to his social equation. While he was with RJD, he had no problem in promoting upper castes and while he was with BJP, he had no problem in working for Muslims. But now his politics is moving on the path of BJP.
This is the first time that Nitish Kumar has written a letter to Prime Minister Modi congratulating and thanking him for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and its grand inauguration. At the time when Ram Mandir was inaugurated, Nitish Kumar had left RJD and joined NDA. He contested the Lok Sabha elections with BJP but in the last eight months he had not said anything about Modi’s role in the construction of the temple. Now he has written a letter.
Not only this, he has also told how much work his government has done to develop Punaura, considered to be the birthplace of Mother Sita in Sitamarhi, Bihar, as a Dham. That is, on the lines of BJP, Nitish Kumar has entered the politics of religion and temple. Keep in mind that even while being with BJP, he gets some Muslim votes. Now he is losing them.
