Sirsa (Haryana). BJP candidate from Sirsa assembly seat of election state Haryana, Rohtash Jangra withdrew his nomination on Monday. If sources are to be believed, the party will now support independent candidate Gopal Kanda on this seat. It is noteworthy that today was the last day to withdraw nomination for the elections to be held in a single phase on October 5 in the state. The BJP candidate withdrew his name at the last moment. The ruling BJP had fielded its candidates on all 90 seats in the state, but now only 89 of its candidates are left in the fray. BJP leader Rohtash Jangra, while talking to journalists, said that there is no special reason for withdrawing the nomination. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had given the ticket earlier, now it was the order of the organization, so he withdrew his nomination. The BJP leader further said that in 1994 he contested the Zila Parishad elections. After this, he contested the assembly elections in 2009. He has been associated with the party organisation for 45 years, and “has no grievances with the party over the withdrawal of his nomination.
Regarding the matter, former MP from Sirsa and senior BJP leader Dr. Ashok Tanwar said that Rohtash Jangra has been a dedicated worker of BJP since 1980. His entire family is dedicated to BJP. First the party gave him the ticket and then decided to withdraw the name. BJP has only one goal in the state that BJP government should be formed under the leadership of Nayab Singh Saini for the third consecutive time. Further strategy will be made later. At the time of withdrawal of nomination, many BJP leaders including Dr. Ashok Tanwar were present on the spot with Rohtash Jangra. An important meeting has been scheduled in the BJP office regarding this assembly seat. According to sources, the party can support independent Gopal Kanda here. It is worth noting that in Haryana, which has 90 assembly seats, voting is to be held in one phase on October 5. The results of all will come out together on October 8.
