Srinagar. Terrorist attacks are not stopping in Jammu and Kashmir. Despite continuous encounters with security forces and the killing of terrorists, the attacks continue. Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar of two Para Special Forces was martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Kishtwar on Sunday. Three soldiers have been injured in this encounter. The encounter between security forces and terrorists started around 11 am on Sunday in the forests of Keshawan in Kishtwar, which continued till late evening.
According to security officials, there is news of some terrorists of Kashmir Tigers group hiding in this area. It is also reported that these terrorists had killed two village guards on November 7. However, apart from Kishtwar, encounter between security forces and terrorists is also going on in Jabarwan area of Srinagar. This is the third encounter between security forces and terrorists within the last 24 hours.
In the first 10 days of November, there have been eight encounters between security forces and terrorists. A total of eight terrorists have been killed so far. A day before Sunday’s encounter, a terrorist was killed by security forces in Sopore, Baramulla on the evening of November 9. On November 8 also, there was an encounter between terrorists and security forces in Sopore, in which two terrorists were killed.
However, regarding the Jabarwan encounter, Kashmir Zone Police said in a post on social media platform X that on Sunday morning, security forces had received information about two-three terrorists hiding in Jabarwan. After this, the army and police conducted a joint search operation in the forest area connecting the upper areas of Dachigam and Nishat at around 9 am. During this, the terrorists started firing on the soldiers. Security forces retaliated. The encounter continued till late evening.
