Sirohi. President Draupadi Murmu participated in the Global Summit on ‘Spirituality for a Clean and Healthy Society’ organized by Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya in Mount Abu. In his address on this occasion, the President said that only when we recognize our inner purity, we will be able to contribute to the establishment of a healthy and peaceful society. He said, spirituality does not mean being religious or giving up worldly activities. Spirituality means recognizing your inner strength and bringing purity in your behavior and thoughts. A person can become a better person not by renouncing his deeds, but by improving his deeds. Purity in thoughts and actions is the path to bring balance and peace in every area of life. It is also necessary to build a healthy and clean society. Despising spiritual values and adopting only the path of material progress ultimately proves disastrous. Overall health is possible only on the basis of a clean mindset. The President said, it is expected from institutions like Brahma Kumari that on the strength of spirituality, they will continue to make people aware to live a clean and healthy life. Spirituality empowers not only our personal lives but also many issues related to society and earth like sustainable development, environmental protection and social justice.
Today, an atmosphere of unrest is prevalent in many parts of the world. Human values are declining. In such times, the importance of peace and unity has increased even more. Peace lies not only outside but deep within our mind. Only when we are calm can we have empathy and love for others. Today, when we are struggling with the adverse effects of global warming and environmental pollution, all possible efforts should be made to face these challenges. Man should understand that he is not the owner of this earth, but is responsible for its conservation. Connection with spirituality provides us with a different positive perspective of looking at society and the world. This approach creates in us a feeling of compassion towards all living beings and sensitivity towards nature. Many people including Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde, Brahma Kumari Sanstha head grandmother Ratan Mohini were present during the program. The Governor of Rajasthan said, I feel very happy to be here today. Being spiritual means that we work knowing ourselves. A global summit is being organized here on a very good topic. In Indian culture, emphasis has been laid on personality development, cleanliness of life and cleanliness of thoughts.
