panch kedar: The date of closure of the doors of Rudranath temple, one of the Panchkedar temples in Uttarakhand, has been announced. The doors of Panchkedar and Chardham are closed during winter. The doors of Rudranath temple will be closed for winter on 17th October, the day of Kartik Sankranti. On the same day, Rudranath’s Deity Doli will reach the winter seat of Gopinath Temple before sunset via Pitridhar, Panar, Lwinthi Bugyal and Jakh Devta temples in Gwad village. Rajbhog offered to Lord Rudranath will be offered in Lwinthi Bugyal. On the second day of Diwali, the doors of Baba Kedarnath are also closed for winter.

Rudranath temple will close at 6 am

Rudranath temple chief priest Vedprakash Mahadev Bhatt and former area panchayat member Gwad Devendra Singh Bisht told that the doors of Rudranath temple will be closed at 6 am on October 17. The stone idol of Bholenath located in the temple will be given Samadhi with Bukhla (Himalayan flower bunch) flowers. On the same day, Rudranath’s palanquin will travel a distance of 18 kilometers through various stops and reach the Gopinath temple at Gopeshwar, the winter seat.

Chandika Devi’s Diwara Yatra will reach Rudranath Temple on 16th

The Diwara Yatra of Goddess Maa Chandika, the presiding deity of Raja Sagar, will start from October 12. After visiting various villages, Maa Chandika will reach Rudranath temple on 16th October. After worshiping here, on 17th, Maa Chandika’s Diwara Yatra will reach the temple of Jakh Devta located in Gwad village along with the Utsav Doli of Rudranath. Temple Committee Secretary Satyendra Rawat said that Maa Chandika’s Diwara Yatra will leave for Kedarnath on October 19.
