Patna. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has completed 23 years in public office. Praising the PM, Union Minister Chirag Paswan said that after his father Ram Vilas Paswan, PM Modi is the only person whom he considers his role model in the field of politics. Speaking to reporters in Patna on Monday, Chirag Paswan said, “It is not hidden from anyone how much respect, love and affection I have for him (PM Modi)… A person whom you consider your idol, when his experience reaches new heights, naturally you feel happy. Meanwhile, regarding the results of Jammu-Kashmir and Haryana Assembly Elections, the Union Minister said that NDA and BJP have worked hard and will form governments at both the places. He said, “This is my belief and yes, exit polls and survey reports are saying something else, I have accepted that unlike exit polls and surveys, everyone should have faith in their hard work. On Lalu Prasad getting bail in the land-for-jobs case, Chirag Paswan said it is a “good thing” and “I have said that one should always have faith in the justice system. Many times such allegations are made which are politically motivated”.
He said if you have not committed any crime, then you do not need to be afraid and nervous… If you are guilty you will be punished, if you are innocent nothing will happen to you. Regarding the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, Chirag Paswan said that his party (LJP-Ram Vilas) is fully prepared for it and on November 28, the party will hold a big rally at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Regarding his party’s role in the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections, he said discussions are going on with alliance partners, especially the BJP. He said that he has also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss the upcoming elections. Chirag Paswan further said that his party’s Jamui MP and Jharkhand in-charge Arun Bharti is also in constant touch with Jharkhand BJP leaders. He said, “Our party does not demand too many seats. Our aim has always been to strengthen the NDA by being in alliance. For example, we did not contest elections in Jammu and Kashmir. We did not contest elections even in Haryana. But, Jharkhand is a state which was earlier a part of Bihar… the party has worked very hard there too… and we want to contest the elections with the alliance.
