Patna. Election strategist Prashant Kishore has announced his political party. On October 2, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Prashant Kishore announced to change his Jan Suraj Abhiyan into Jan Suraj Party. Jan Suraj was officially launched by Prashant Kishor at the Veterinary College grounds in Patna on Wednesday. Manoj Bharti, who comes from the Dalit community, has been made the first acting president of Jan Suraj. Along with the establishment of the party, Prashant Kishore also announced that he will field the party’s candidates in the by-elections to be held on four assembly seats of the state.
However, while making Manoj Bharti the acting president, Prashant Kishore said – Bharti was not chosen as the president because he is from the Dalit community, but because he is capable and also comes from the Dalit community. Manoj Bharti, who has been ambassador to four countries, is from Madhubani. The tenure of former Foreign Service officer Manoj Bharti will last till March 2025. After this there will be re-election for the President. He has studied from Netarhat and IIT Delhi.
Prashant Kishore said in the Foundation Day program – Do not stop till 2025. Other parties of Bihar will be accounted for only in 2024. By-elections are to be held on four assembly seats of Bihar in November 2024. Jan Suraj Party will field its candidates on Ramgarh, Tarari, Belaganj and Imamganj seats. Prashant Kishore said- Right of return will be applicable for public representatives in the party. Those who do not live up to expectations will be held back. The party will take an affidavit in this regard from everyone before giving tickets. If one-third of the party’s founding members bring a motion against a public representative, he will have to resign.
Describing his agenda, Prashant Kishore said- If our government is formed, we will emphasize on quality education of children. Employment arrangements will be made for the youth. The elderly will get a pension of two thousand rupees every month. While raising the slogan of Jai Bihar, Prashant Kishore said – All of you have to say Jai Bihar so loudly that no one calls you and your children Bihari and it does not seem like an abuse. Your voice should reach Delhi and Bengal, where the students of Bihar are. It should reach Tamil Nadu and Mumbai, where Bihari children were also abused and beaten.
