Priyanka Gandhi filed nomination from Wayanad seat

Wayanad. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday filed nomination papers for the by-election to be held on Wayanad Lok Sabha seat. She is contesting an election for the first time. By-elections will be held on Wayanad Lok Sabha seat on November 13. Keeping this in view, Congress has fielded Priyanka Gandhi from here. He filed three sets of his nomination papers on Wednesday. Priyanka’s husband Robert Vadra and son were also present on this occasion. Apart from this, his mother and former Congress President Sonia Gandhi was also seen. During Priyanka’s nomination, officials said that only five people can be present with the candidate at the time of nomination. For this reason, after some time, Priyanka Gandhi’s husband and her son, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and party general secretary KC Venugopal came out of the chamber. While Priyanka Gandhi filed her nomination papers, her brother and opposition leader in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi was also present.

He filed nomination papers before Wayanad District Collector Meghshri. Before the nomination, Priyanka held a road show with her brother Rahul Gandhi and then addressed a rally, in which several Congress leaders were present. Let us tell you that Rahul Gandhi had won the Lok Sabha elections from two seats. However, he later chose Rae Bareli seat and resigned from Wayanad seat. CPI has fielded Satyan Mokeri from this seat. He stood third in the 2014 general elections. Whereas BJP has given ticket to Navya Haridas from here. Earlier in the 2019 general elections, Rahul Gandhi had won from Wayanad seat by a margin of 4.60 lakhs. Wayanad constituency consists of three districts, which include Wayanad, Malappuram and Kozhikode.
