The slogan of RSS was once ‘Say with pride that we are Hindus’. walls across the country But it was written. That means be fearless! But now fear is being taught. Country If you are putting 80 percent of the population in a state of fear, then What does it mean? Meaning just keep voting for us. And live in fear that When we are not there you will be in danger.
This is a new beginning from the Nehru-Gandhi family. This is the first time a member of the family is contesting elections from the South. Priyanka Gandhi on Wednesday filed her nomination for Lok Sabha from Wayanad, Kerala.
It is not that no member of the family from the South has fought before. Everyone has fought except Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Indira Gandhi faced her worst days when she lost the election from Rae Bareli in 1977 and contested the by-election from Chikmagalur in Karnataka the very next year. Not only achieved a spectacular victory but also created an atmosphere of victory in 1980.
In fact, before that by-election, there was a terrible massacre of Dalits in Belchhi, Bihar. Indira, who was going through the despair of defeat, could not sit at home watching this massacre. She left for the shovel. It was raining heavily. The river was rising. Indira reached there sitting on an elephant. The government was of Janata Party. Every effort was being made to suppress the matter. Home Minister Charan Singh was calling it a minor matter. But Indira’s arrival changed the whole picture.
The media was anti-Congress even at that time. But the matter was so big and the photo of Indira Gandhi sitting on an elephant was making such an impact that the media could not suppress it. 14 Dalits were burnt alive. In which there were children and women also. The news and photo of Indira riding on an elephant started appearing in international newspapers as well.
Most people know this story. It is also known that Indira’s departure had written the role of her victory in 1980. But perhaps few people would know that this was the first Dalit massacre in the country in which the culprits were hanged. This was Indira Impact. In 1983, two murderers Mahavir Mahato and Parshuram Dhanuk were hanged. Even after this, no such case comes to mind when someone was hanged in a Dalit massacre. Whereas before and after that, there were incidents of rape and murder of many Dalit girls and mass Dalit massacre.
The latest one is from Hathras where after the rape and murder of a Dalit girl, a protest was organized outside her house in support of the accused. The media was not allowed to go. Rahul Gandhi had to return once. He was pushed down on the road. For the second time he and Priyanka were able to go to the victim’s family. The girl’s body was also not given to the family members. Burned overnight.
This is New India. This is also called new normal. And if this too is divided, it will be cut! Keep voting for us. Keep being afraid of the imaginary fear that Muslims are showing. And remain in whatever condition we keep. Earlier Prime Minister Modi had said that he will snatch your Mangal Sutra. Only the buffalo will be snatched away. But if even a simple majority beyond four hundred did not come, now Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi is saying that if we divide, we will be divided!
Yogi could not get Modi ji Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh has a big contribution in Modi ji staying away from majority. Where in 2019 BJP had won 61 seats there. Which will remain only 33 in 2024. Party number two is done. SP became the number one party by winning 37 seats. India Alliance got a total of 43 seats. More than half of the 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh.
Now there is assembly by-election on 9 seats. Big challenge for BJP. So much so that the BJP MLAs themselves are filing an FIR with the police that the Bahraich riots were caused by BJP people. Akhilesh Yadav said that after the statements of BJP MLA Sureshwar Singh, it has become clear that BJP is now working to get its people killed. She is creating a riot. The most important thing he said is that after such conspiratorial activities, the few supporters and voters left will also be gone.
The indication is clear that in the by-elections also there will be an anti-BJP atmosphere like in the Lok Sabha. That is why now there is talk of cutting Mangalsutra and cutting buffalo instead of snatching it. The slogan of RSS was to say with pride that we are Hindus. It was written on walls across the country. That means be fearless!
But now fear is being taught. What does it mean if you are putting 80 percent of the country’s population in a state of fear? Meaning just keep voting for us. And live in fear that when we are not there you will be in danger. Ten years ago, 80 percent of these people’s children were studying. Were going abroad to get a better job. Today they are turned into a crowd and only a procession is taken out. Slogans are raised. There is only one purpose. Keep voting for us. But the 2024 Lok Sabha tried to get out of this trap of fear, hatred and division. It gave a big blow to BJP in UP. But instead of running the government, they are only talking about cutting corners.
Well, the by-elections of UP will tell how the people there are understanding the BJP’s conspiracy to instigate riots, which their MLAs themselves are accusing. Do they think that this Hindu-Muslim thing is being done to divert their attention from unemployment, inflation and poor law and order? There is talk of cutting buttons.
Whatever happens, not only the UP assembly by-elections but also the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand and the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election will tell what people are thinking.
The crowd that gathered at Priyanka’s nomination rally in Wayanad on Wednesday showed that the popularity of this family is the same whether in North or South. Who is the other leader in the country who can go to the South and contest elections? You call yourself a Vishwaguru, but do you have the courage to go to the South, which is an important part of our India, and contest elections?
Big leaders who call themselves national leaders should go and fight in the South to give the message of unity, integrity and solidarity of the country. Congress even fought the leaders of the South in the North and won.
Talking about Wayanad, Kerala, in 1952 and 1957, Malayali C Krishnan Nair won the elections from the outer Lok Sabha seat of Delhi. Also Bengali Sucheta Kripalani from New Delhi in 1952. And in 1980, Kerala CM Stephen fought directly against Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Stephen was defeated. But Vajpayee remembered that he had fought from three Lok Sabha constituencies simultaneously. But never from the south. Only Congress did this by making the leaders of the North contest the elections from the South and the leaders of the South from the North.
Sonia Gandhi has also fought from the South. From Bellary, Karnataka. That was also his first election. But she also fought from Amethi. 1999. Rahul has left this Wayanad seat after winning it. On which there is a by-election. Priyanka is fighting. And that is why Sonia has become the first person from the family to contest the first election from the South, in 1999 she had contested the first election from South Vellari but also from Amethi in North India.
