Questions from allies on Congress

New Delhi. After the defeat of Congress in the Haryana Assembly elections, all its allies have become vocal. While many parties included in the opposition alliance ‘India’ raised questions on the Congress, parties outside the alliance also targeted the Congress. While Uddhav Thackeray’s party took a jibe at Congress, Mamata Banerjee and Arvind Kejriwal’s party also targeted Congress.

Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena wrote in the editorial of its mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ that Congress knows how to convert victory into defeat. Shiv Sena has written- Congress needs to learn from the defeat in Haryana. Haryana’s defeat is the result of Congress’s overconfidence and the arrogance of the state leaders. Hooda did not take non-Jat voters along, due to which he had to suffer the consequences. After this, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has said- If Congress wants to contest elections alone in Maharashtra, then tell it first. Raut said that BJP won the lost game. Everyone believed that Congress was winning but it still lost. BJP won because it has a systematic management.

Leader of National Conference, Congress’s ally in Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah said- Congress needs to think deeply. Omar said- Congress will have to think deeply to find out the reasons for its defeat in Haryana. I have already said that we are wasting our time by trusting these exit polls. No one would have thought that the exit polls would be so wrong. 30 became 60 and 60 became 30.

Mamata Banerjee’s party Trinamool Congress leader Saket Gokhale, without naming the Congress, said that arrogance and looking down on regional parties led to the defeat. Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal had said immediately after the results that no one should be taken lightly in the elections. Kejriwal said- Let’s see what are the results of the elections in Haryana. The biggest lesson is that no one should be overconfident in elections. No election should be taken lightly. Every election and every seat is difficult.
