Recovery case against Finance Minister!

This is a unique case and perhaps for the first time in India, a case is being filed against the Finance Minister of the country on charges of illegal extortion from businessmen in her own country. The People’s Representative Court of Bengaluru, after hearing the petition filed by an NGO, ordered the Tilak Nagar police station of Bengaluru to register an FIR in the case of illegal extortion against Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. It is possible that this may be banned in the higher court and the matter may be closed. But this is a big matter and will raise questions on the credibility of the government and Iqbal. This matter is related to taking money from businessmen through electoral bonds.

It is true that the electoral bond scheme has been declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court but its ghost is not leaving BJP and its government. NGO Jan Adhikar Sangharsh Parishad had filed a petition alleging on the basis of government data that Rs 230 crore was collected from Anil Aggarwal’s company and Rs 49 crore from Aurobindo Pharma in the form of electoral bonds. The court has asked to register a case after looking at the merit in this case. If one case moves forward then many such cases will come. Keep in mind that the Congress Party has already been saying that the people who gave money through electoral bonds should be investigated as to how much contract they got before or after giving the donation or how much relief they got from the investigation by the central agencies. This controversy may escalate.
