New Delhi. A large number of veteran leaders lost the Haryana Assembly elections. Eight out of 10 ministers of Naib Singh Saini government lost the elections. The Speaker of the Assembly also lost the election. Apart from Saini, only two ministers could win the elections. The party had already canceled the tickets of four ministers. In the unexpected election results in Haryana, Bhajan Lal’s grandson Bhavya Bishnoi lost the election from Adampur seat. For the first time, a member of Bhajan Lal’s family has lost from Adampur seat. Olympian wrestler Vinesh Phogat has won from Julana seat.
The winning ministers of the Saini government include Minister of State Mahipal Dhanda from Panipat Rural seat and Cabinet Minister Moolchand Sharma from Ballabhgarh seat. Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta had to face defeat in Panchkula. He was defeated by former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal’s elder son and Congress candidate Chandramohan Bishnoi. Minister of State Sanjay Singh lost in Nuh. Cabinet Minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar lost in Jagadhri and Cabinet Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta stood third in Hisar. The country’s richest woman Savitri Jindal, who contested the elections as an independent candidate, won. In Raniya, minister Ranjit Chautala, who was contesting as an independent candidate after rebelling against BJP, also lost the election. There, INLD and BSP alliance candidate and Abhay Chautala’s son Arjun Chautala won. Former Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala lost the election from Uchana Kala seat.
