Mumbai In Maharashtra, the opposition alliance i.e. Maha Vikas Aghadi, MVA has finalized the seat distribution. On Wednesday, October 23, a day after the nomination process began, the seat sharing formula was announced by the Aghadi parties. According to this, seats are divided equally between Congress, Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena and Sharad Pawar’s NCP. The three parties will contest on 85-85 seats. In this way these three parties will contest on 255 seats. There is talk of leaving 18 assembly seats for other parties. Even after that, 15 seats will be left, about which nothing has been told.
It is reported that apart from the three main parties of Maha Vikas Aghadi, there are many other parties including Samajwadi Party, SWP and CPM, which will contest the elections in alliance. A seat has been left for him also. However, it has not been told who will get how many seats. It is noteworthy that Samajwadi Party had unilaterally declared candidates on five seats and had placed demands for seven other seats.
It is noteworthy that on October 22, a meeting was held for about four hours for seat distribution among the parties of Maha Vikas Aghadi. After the meeting, Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray faction leader Sanjay Raut had said that seat sharing in MVA has been finalized. There will be no more meetings.
