Seven more planes received threats

New Delhi. The process of receiving bomb threats to Indian aviation companies is not stopping. Seven more flights received bomb threats on Wednesday. Thus, in the last three days, 19 planes have received bomb threats. The seven planes that received bomb threats on Wednesday included four flights of Indigo, two of SpiceJet and one of Akasa. After receiving the threat, emergency landing of all these flights was done.

A day before this, on October 15, a bomb threat was received in seven blasts. These included Air India Express flight from Delhi to Chicago. He was diverted to Canada and landed at Iqaluit Airport. During investigation, the news of bombs in these planes was found to be false. However, security has been increased at all airports. Amidst the continuous threats, the Center on Wednesday decided to double the number of air marshals in flights. They will remain in plain clothes in the plane.

Apart from this, the Home Ministry has sought a report from the Civil Aviation Ministry. Also, Delhi Police has registered six FIRs in these cases. In this connection, Mumbai Police has detained a minor resident of Chhattisgarh. He has been sent to the Juvenile Board. Threatening social media accounts are being tracked. Meanwhile, the Aviation Ministry on Wednesday responded to the Parliamentary Committee on the issue of sending threatening messages to aviation companies. The ministry said the accused have been identified and action is being taken.
