New Delhi. In the series of small and big train accidents happening in different parts of the country for some time, a conspiracy to overturn trains at several places has been exposed. However, the conspiracy was foiled at all three places. An attempt was made to explode a train carrying army personnel in Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh. This incident happened on 18th September. Railway sources said that detonators were laid on the railway line in Nepanagar, Burhanpur. However, some detonators exploded before the train reached there. This alerted the railway officials and the train was stopped at the station.
On the other hand, a small cylinder was found lying on the track near Prempur station in Kanpur, UP. On seeing the cylinder, the loco pilot of the JTTN freight train applied emergency brakes and stopped the train 10 feet ahead. The third incident is from Punjab. A bundle of iron rods was kept on the railway track in Bathinda, Punjab. Seeing this, the loco pilot of the freight train applied emergency brakes, due to which the accident was averted.
In Bihar’s Muzaffarpur, a total of six wheels of the engine derailed on Saturday night between Muzaffarpur and Samastipur railway line. The incident happened at 8:30 pm on Saturday night. Initial investigation has revealed the negligence of the loco pilot and the point man.
