But his image has been seriously threatened by appearing in the Supreme Court as a lawyer for the Bengal government in the case of rape and heinous murder of a junior doctor in RG Kar Hospital of West Bengal. It is being said that he has an account in a Swiss bank, to which Sibal had objected in the Supreme Court as well.
On the other hand, junior doctors in Kolkata are protesting against Sibal by carrying placards with his name and picture. That is why when the hearing of the Kolkata rape and murder case started in the Supreme Court on Tuesday, Sibal demanded to stop its live streaming. But the bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud rejected it. Sibal is worried about his image as well as that of other lawyers, especially the junior lawyers. In this entire episode, Sibal is being presented as a supporter of rapists and anti-women. Now the situation is such that Sibal cannot even wash his hands off this case. That is why he wants that this matter should disappear from the eyes of the people as soon as possible.
