UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that the UN employees killed were staff members of the Palestinian United Nations Relief Agency (UNRWA). The UN chief informed on X that a school was targeted in Wednesday’s air strike where about 12,000 people have taken shelter. Guterres said, ‘What is happening in Gaza is unacceptable.

Violations of international humanitarian law need to stop now. At least 18 Palestinians were killed and many others injured in Wednesday’s attack, Palestinian sources said. Sources said Israeli fighter jets fired a missile at a shelter in the al-Nuseirat refugee camp. The Hamas-run Gaza government’s media office reported that aid workers were among the victims.
