Both RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Prime Minister Narendra Modi know what is going on in their minds, but publicly it seems that the distance between the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the Bharatiya Janata Party has reduced. After the BJP’s seats were reduced in the Lok Sabha elections, the differences between the two were coming to light from the statements being given by the Sangh chief and other thinkers. It seemed as if the RSS was making fun of the BJP. But after BJP’s victory in Haryana and better performance in Jammu than before, the distance between the two has disappeared. Now both are showing closeness ideologically and in electoral politics too it is being openly said that the RSS had helped the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections and has helped the BJP in the state elections also. Maharashtra BJP’s senior leader Sudhir Mungantiwar has said that the Sangh had helped the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections and is getting its help in the Assembly elections also. The Sangh is also helping the BJP in Haryana and its volunteers are working in the by-elections also.
The Sangh has also made its understanding clear on the statement of BJP President JP Nadda which was discussed the most. It is noteworthy that before the Lok Sabha elections, JP Nadda had said that earlier BJP needed the Sangh but now the BJP is very strong and it does not need the Sangh. On this, Sangh’s Sarkaryavah i.e. number two official Dattatreya Hosabale has said that this statement of Nadda is a symbol of the strength of BJP, not of division of Sangh and BJP. Speaking to the media after the conclusion of an important meeting of the Sangh in Mathura, he said that the Sangh understands the sentiment behind Nadda’s statement. It is about fostering a sense of independence and not about breaking up relationships. Hosabale also said that BJP is a family and family fights are settled privately, not publicly. For the first time in many months, there was a reaction from the Sangh on Nadda’s statement, which seems to indicate that everything is going well between the two.
Similarly, Dattatreya Hosabale also made it clear in Mathura itself that he supports the slogan of ‘Bantege to Katenge’.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is raising this slogan again and again these days. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also said the same thing in a different way in a meeting in Maharashtra on October 5. He had said that there should be no division because if we divide then those who distribute will organize the gathering. The Sangh has supported this sentiment and said that Hindus need to remain united. Earlier this year, Prime Minister Modi supported the speech given by Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat at the Dussehra rally. Not only this, Modi posted the video of the Sangh’s Dussehra rally and praised the Sangh and congratulated the volunteers for entering the hundredth year of its establishment.
