Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar’s great grandson Rajratna Ambedkar has said in a video message that some big leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party, who had twisted Rahul Gandhi’s comments on reservation in the US, contacted Rajratna and asked him to start a movement on this issue. Pressure was put on him to stage protests. Secondly, Rajratna has explained in detail why he was not ready to become an agitator at the behest of the BJP.?
If you have not yet seen or heard the video message of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar’s great grandson Rajratna Ambedkar, then you must see and listen to it. Not because he has made any big revelation. But because if someone else had told it, many people would have felt the urge to make all kinds of illogical arguments, but it is a bit difficult to blow away the things said by Rajratna. This is because he is Baba Saheb’s great grandson.
The first thing mentioned in the video is that some big leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party, who had distorted Rahul Gandhi’s comments on reservation in America, contacted Rajratna and asked him to start a movement on this issue. They put pressure on him to stage protests. Secondly, Rajratna has explained in detail why he was not ready to become an agitator at the behest of the BJP?
Rajratna has said in his video that whatever Rahul Gandhi has said in response to a question by a girl named Apoorva Ramaswamy in America is absolutely correct. The question was how long will you continue reservation in India? Rahul replied that as long as there is social inequality, reservation will remain and when social discrimination ends, reservation will also end. Rajratna asks what wrong did Rahul say in this? We Ambedkarites also say the same thing.
So Rajratna believes that Rahul has not said anything on reservation against which there is a need to protest and dharna. Rajratna says that we work for our society and our society decides which issues we should raise. Why should we protest at the behest of BJP and under their pressure?
Those who have listened to Rahul’s statement on reservation in America without any prejudice are aware of the cunningness hidden in the hype given to this issue by the BJP. How is it possible that Rahul participates in foreign seminars and the Sangh clan does not examine his statements? If this happens, then his business of underground preparations will come to a halt. The livelihood of lakhs of followers will be snatched away.
Therefore, anti-Rahul sentiment has become an industry. The slogan of Congress-free India is the fuel for the furnace of this industry. Political heat can be maintained only by keeping this furnace burning continuously. So, every morning, lakhs of puppets operating from the side rooms of BJP-RSS start singing the alaap (recital) directed to them for that day in unison. After performing their duties from sunrise to sunset, they go to snore waiting for the instructions to be received the next day.
It is not that no one knew about these tricks of the BJP’s loudspeakers before Rajratna said it. But what Rajratna said and the way he said it has completely shredded the remaining thin cloth of the Sangh clan. Just imagine, how many such Rajratnas must our rulers be trying to ‘inspire’ every day to defame the opposition in every way? These Rajratnas are intelligent, so they acted intelligently. But there must be many Rajratnas who must be caught in this trap. Have you ever seen the decline in the values of those in power in any of the previous ten years, as you have seen in these ten years?
Never before has there been such a continuous effort to run a minute-by-minute campaign against the opposition. Where before has such a scene of using media masks along with political platforms been seen as a weapon for this campaign? Such a shameless dance of distorting facts has never happened in any era. These ten years have brought the lowest examples in our social, political, economic and cultural life. Many centuries will suffer the consequences of the misdeeds of this decade.
I am not a pessimist. I do not even want to be. But I want to warn those who are extremely optimistic that even a slight nap of the opposition will prove to be costly for the country. I am beginning to worry that how long will the orange peel of opposition unity be able to hold the inner cracks together? Is there any mantra that can give this peel the tridasha-tva? If it is not there, and this peel is ultimately mortal, and it will crack one day or the other, then understand one thing very well that the day this peel becomes worn out and falls, India will sink into the dark well of autocratic governance.
Before this can happen, the Congress will have to give centre-oriented strength to its all-India presence. The BJP may have shrunk to 161+79=240 in 2024, but the road ahead for the Congress, and for the opposition as a whole, is no longer smooth. The path is still no less rocky. The ambitions of the leaders of the opposition parties to come out of their respective regions and dominate the central canvas are increasing rather than decreasing.
The reality is that though Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are standing holding each other’s hands in the raging river of fear dripping from their faces, they cannot refrain from making a hole in the Congress umbrella. The problem of the Congress is that it does not seem to be in a position to become the central political power of the entire country on its own strength in the next five-seven years. Rahul alone may be able to carry his Congress to the Raisina Hill, but most of the people who have gathered around him are not interested in Rahul, but in themselves. That is why Rahul’s tireless efforts also start to feel breathless at times.
Rahul may not know, but I know very well and firmly the sieve through which the true assessment of the ground situation passes before reaching his table. The basic material of information, details and conclusions is coated with a brush of paint before being presented to Rahul. The intentions of some of those whom Rahul trusts blindly are so disgusting that the day Rahul will come to know about it, he himself will become a recluse.
The Congress, which is currently stuck in the 99, needs to come out of its slumber and understand that the mandate of this Lok Sabha election is not the result of a wave in its favour or in favour of the opposition, but the waves arising out of deep resentment against the BJP. The voters have not yet thought about reaching any final conclusion about the Congress and the opposition. 60 percent of the voters of the country have rejected the BJP and its allies. But it would be foolish to infer from this that they have approved the Congress and the rest of the opposition. Those who deliberately ignore the greyness of the foundation of this rejection and acceptance will be in for a big shock.
