The plane kept flying despite the threat of a bomb

New Delhi. Despite receiving a bomb threat on a Vistara Airlines flight coming from London to Delhi, the plane continued flying for more than three hours and landed in Delhi itself. About three and a half hours before flight UK18 from London to Delhi was to reach Delhi, a passenger saw a threatening tissue paper in the toilet of the plane. He informed the crew. But emergency landing of the plane was not made.

The plane landed in Delhi and was taken to the isolation bay, where the luggage of all the passengers was checked. However, nothing like a bomb was found. Still, the question is being raised that despite finding tissue paper containing information about the bomb, the plane continued to fly in the air for three and a half hours. Police questioned the crew as to why the plane was brought to Delhi despite bomb information. Permission to land could be sought only in a nearby country.

On police questioning, the pilot and crew said that there was a danger of the plane being hijacked if it was to land on the way. To avoid this, the flight was brought directly to Delhi. There were about three hundred passengers and crew members on board the flight. However, due to security check, the passengers remained stranded at the airport for about five hours. No passenger was allowed to reach the terminal building until the investigation was completed. Vistara Airline said in an official statement – This rumor came to light during the flight from London to Delhi. As per protocol, the officers were immediately informed. After the plane lands safely at Indira Gandhi International Airport, we are fully cooperating with the concerned authorities to complete the necessary security checks.
