New Delhi. The Israeli army has continued the attack even after killing Hezbollah Chief Nasrallah and its top commanders. In the latest attack, the Israeli army destroyed about three and a half kilometer long tunnel leading from Lebanon to Syria in an air strike on Thursday night. The Israeli Defense Force said that Hezbollah used it to smuggle weapons to Iran.
According to the IDF, Hezbollah’s Unit 4400 used to transport Iranian weapons to Lebanon through the tunnel. Apart from the tunnel, Hezbollah buildings and weapons depots around it were also destroyed in the attack by fighter planes. Meanwhile, Iran has reiterated that it is with Lebanon and Hezbollah. Its Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said – Lebanon is our friend. We are with the Shia Muslims there and Hezbollah.
On the other hand, Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli attack on September 27, was laid to rest on Friday, seven days after his death. According to international media reports, Nasrallah has been buried in a secret place due to fear of Israeli attack. Earlier there were reports of a large funeral procession being taken out to mourn his death. But later this was not done because there was fear of Israeli attack.
While Nasrallah was being buried, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei offered prayers in memory of the Hezbollah chief in the Grand Mosque of Tehran. Khamenei, who reached public among the people, gave a speech in front of thousands of people present in the mosque. He appealed to the Muslims of the world to unite against the enemy. Khamenei said- There is not a single court in the world that can hold Palestinians guilty for protecting their land.
Khamenei has appealed to Arab countries to come together to face Israel. He said that the destruction of Israel is necessary. Khamenei said that Tuesday’s missile attack on Israel was a very small punishment. Will attack again if necessary. He said that Israel will never be able to defeat Hamas and Hezbollah.
